For the love of music
Phinda Dlamini, commonly known as Master P the DJ is a Swati multi award winning Hip Hop and RnB deejay who was recently in the top 10 of sexy men in the Kingdom. He was born and
raised in Manzini but stayed in Simunye for 5 years. He did his lower primary grades at
Lusoti Primary School before going to Hillside primary in which he then attended his high school at Hillside High School. He describes art is an act of expressing feelings, thoughts, and observations, where we can express ourselves in ways that words cannot.
Phinda says he has always loved music. He would occasionally deejay in school concerts in high school and then became a
professional DJ in 2008. He was introduced to the game by Djs Mdue and Karly B
through Sdee of Sdeez supermix. He adds that music is that one thing that can talk to you in whatever situation you are in "For me there's a song for every mood, could I be sad, happy or angry, music is just beautiful❤".
Covid-19
Phinda shares his views on the COVID-19 pandemic where he mentions that he thinks this pandemic is affecting the whole world,
physically, psychologically, emotionally and economically. People are dying and
it's sad, everything is on standstill, nothing is happening. Businesses are
closing down, people are losing jobs, it's crazy.
If we take it ourselves to adhere to the
rules of the partial lock down, it could help contain the virus, the less
numbers of infected people, the bigger chance of winning against the virus. He says he wishes that the government could do more to enforce the partial lock down because some
people are not taking it seriously and how people loitering exposes, not just
them to danger but their loved ones as well.
He further states that the lock down is hitting him bad considering the fact that all his income streams have been paused, but he is hanging in there, he will get through this. On a positive note, it has given him time to self introspect and work on his craft, he is sure he will come out of this a
different artist.
Master P advises that we should be patient,
adhere to the majors that our government have put in place to fight the virus and let's also work on ourselves, let us come out as better people.
He says that the first thing he will do after the lock down is to take his car to a car wash. He laughs...đ€ŁThen
check on his loved ones, friends and relatives.
In the next few months, when the virus is less of an affect, he assures me that we can expect a
better DJ from him. He is also planning on going back to studio to make some new
music, it's gonna be an interesting next few months.
