Music over everything!
Blessing Masuku, commonly known as Dj Bloss is a Dj in the Kingdom of Eswatini from Mpolonjeni, Mbabane who comes from a family of four, him being the first born, followed by three younger brothers. He did his primary education at Mqolo Primary School then completed his high school education at Ka-Boyce High School. He is one goal driven, respectful and God-fearing young man and is currently studying Business Information at Limkokwing University.
As a Dj, Bloss says he was exposed to music growing up and he was a keyboard player at his church at Mpolonjeni. He also had uncles who listened to music all the time, thus exposing him to more music. He loved music at a very young age, and the people around him influenced that because they would play all kinds of music all the time.
Bloss says he fell in love with deejaying back when he was in High school and he had always dreamed of being on stage, playing music. After
completing High school, he met Dj Castle who he played along side at Mediterranean.
Fast forward to 2016, he was given a chance to play at Solanis and a couple
of months later, he was made a resident Dj. The rest is history!
He had always had interest in playing music and
when he got to Solanis he saw that as a platform for him to make playing music a career. That was when he learnt a lot about the entertainment industry. With Solanis being one of the top entertainment venues in the country, growth was inevitable.
Bloss tells me about Music Medics, which is a deep house podcast
established by himself and Master-Jack during the national lock down. Their aim was to share music with deep
house lovers while also creating relationships with local and
international deejays, as they have guest deejays dropping mix tapes,
local and international. Music Medics is one project they hope to take outside
the borders of the Kingdom and share music with the rest of the world.
He urges people out there to check the Music Medics page on Facebook. That is where the mix tapes are released as we are currently on lock down and there is not much going on besides the online activities.

Music Medics started during this lock down and the plan for Music Medics is to grow it to be one of the recognized brands in the music scene
locally. Hopefully when this is over they spread their wings as the lock down has not
been easy on everyone, but through the Grace of God we are still here.
I always knew he would be a big shot in the music industry. He had this fire each time he'd be drumming on the furniture back at KBHS. Even though such was not allowed, he was really good and entertaining. He would cause the class prefects to forget that we were making noise and join in instead. Each time they called him "Bloss" I felt the title of DJ was missing. I'm personally proud of this guy.
