It's the Valentine's weekend and I know SOME of you guys are super excited and some of you are already celebrating! So, what better way to celebrate Valentine's day than with awesome music, and because I love you guys so much, I made sure I plug you with some jams for the heartfelt day. 

I spoke to a few local artists in the Kingdom of Eswatini who have dished out some music for us to listen to this Valentine's day, and boy oh boy! There is just so much talent here. I must say, these artists are remarkable! 

Dj Lady Zee has blessed us with an Amapiano single, "Valentine". She says the inspiration behind it was to get to work on producing music and getting new talent while also spreading love through music given that it’s a tough time. 

"Since it’s my birthday on Valentine’s Day and unfortunately I can't host a show to celebrate it, this is me celebrating my birthday with my fans through this single". The song is really beautiful and the production is just amazing. She further states that the feedback has been overwhelming, and the song has been played even on some SA radio stations which gives her hope to work on more music and who knows, maybe a video will be coming out 😊.


Leebombo is one of the greatest songstresses in the Kingdom and she has recently joined New Life Entertainment and she says that it has been her wish to be part of the New Life Entertainment family ever since she noticed how they work with their artists, as well as the love they have for the music industry.
 
"To work with a team that keeps you in the loop about everything regarding your music, their patience to take an artist through the creative process until the final product is quite amazing" She says. 

 


"Ngigcwele" is a love song that speaks of the undying love amongst people that are made for each other, those who fall in love daily, those who can't get enough of each other, those who look past all mistakes and differences and choose love everyday. 

Leebombo says the love she gets from her family daily, played a very key role in inspiring this song.

When I ask her on how the feedback from her fans has been like, she mentions that as soon as the promo went up days before the release date, people were already hounding her for the link "I work hard to put my heart and soul into every piece and myyyy goodness...the feedback has truly been amazing. I am so humbled by this, truly". 

Leebombo says for her, Valentine's day is a family affair, as they bond and tickle each other's " sweet tooth" 😂. To all the lovers out there, she says, Love is beautiful if you truly believe in love and keep on loving each other. Never forget the first day you met, never stop trying to sweep your partner off their feet, never stop doing the "small things" because those add up to the bigger picture.

She concludes by mentioning that she will be working on more music which should culminate into a full body of work and of course some music videos for all these jams they will be delivering in the next few months. 

Laura is an upcoming hip hop artist who has given us a beautiful song, "My Valentine". This is a song about a guy who is will willing go all out and love a certain lady, to the extent that the lady earns all the spoils of being loved.

Laura says he will be celebrating Valentine's day alone because those he once loved chose a different path. "To all the lovers out there, love is more precious than gold, so be grateful you got love in times like this". He states.


Wezzy, whose producer is King Kanga, has a fresh fresh single titled "Cravings" featuring Scinzo, which he released just an two hours ago. He says the inspiration behind the single was love making and this song is definitely that mood!


He emphasizes that lovers out there should be honest with each other, despite the trials and tribulations, and most importantly, they should celebrate the day safely. 

So, like I said, this is the plug for you guys, different genres all speaking to LOVE, how amazing is that! Now the question is...do YOU have a Valentine? I know I do!

Oros Mampofu (28) is a South African actor and musician. He was born in Umtata,Eastern Cape and grew up in the Fort Gale area.
