Dr. Shakes , real name Bonginkosi Dlamini, is a Swazi born stand up comedian, event host, brand ambassador and an advocate of the growth of the artist industry in the Kingdom of Eswatini. He was raised in the Mbabane suburbs and completed his high school education at the esteemed Ka-Boyce High School. He kicked off his comedy career in humble fashion as he would perform in both bars and churches serving jokes and humor to these diverse needs, something that would enhance his versatility and multi-functionality in his career. Dr. Shakes’ comedic work shot into prominence in 2015 when he competed in a LOL comedy competition. This elevated him above the surface to get recognized for other comedy events such as the Eswatini Comedy Festival and the Heavyweights International Comedy Festival, which occurred in Botswana. Msimisi Sithole is a Swati musician who was one of the 11 winners of the Red Bull "Lift As You Rise" Project in South Africa last year and got to work with some of the most well renowned musicians in the industry including Nasty C and Tellaman. He recently released a track with one of Eswatini’s amazing artists, Sands, titled Zumbu and he just graduated from the University of Botswana with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Nsika Mazibuko (24), also known as Llucid is a young Swati musician from Hlathikhulu, born and bred. He is the last born in his family, with three other siblings and he attended Salem High School before going to The University of Eswatini,Mbabane campus.  Nsika has recently won the first season of The Spotlight by MTN Eswatini, in which he walked away with a brand new car,a record deal,MTN data for a year and an Eswatini MTN brand ambassor contract to name a few.  Nsika and I had a little fun chat about his life in music and winning The Spotlight by MTN Eswatini. Samora Mangesi is a South African actor , radio presenter, producer and TV presenter. Most of us first knew him from Hectic Nine-9 on SABC 2 before he started presenting on The Real Goboza on SABC 1, June last year. He was born in Mdantsane just outside of EAST LONDON in the Eastern Cape and went to Selborne  Primary and Selborne College. He was brought up by his mom, who is a single parent as an only child. He does though have siblings on his dad's side but they didn't grow up in the same household and he has a very big family. He says that during his primary school days, drama was one of the subjects he fell in love with. He mostly fell in love with stories; hearing stories, telling stories. This was fuelled more by the introduction of dramatized poetry. Simphiwe Gama , commonly known as Simtronic Dj , is a Swati born Dj and music producer, who was born in Nhlangano then moved to South Africa, where he did most of his high school education before attending the University of Pretoria. Simtronic has a radio show on Tshwane FM, called Never Ending Vibes and he is also the man behind the local hit, Yaya, which is originally 80 Script’s song which he re-released, last year, featuring Una Rams. Simtronic says that deejaying came about in grade 12, in which he had a friend, Dj Supreme who would play at most school parties, and he found that interesting as it was something new to him and he asked Supreme to teach him how to play the decks. Majaha Nkonyane is a SWAMA award wining poet who is passionate about poetry because this is how he speaks and sends messages to different people in all walks of life. He was born and raised in Mbabane. He attended school at Zombodze Primary School, Mangwaneni Primary School then at St Marks High School. He is from a family of five, him being the middle child and h e never hesitates to mention that he is a proud Christian.  When I talked to Majaha about poetry and how it came about, he mentioned that poetry is more of a calling in his life, and it is one of the things he can never run away from. "I remember a play we did back at preschool graduation, where I was playing God in the garden of Eden. The one part I always remember is when I asked Adam and Eve why they were hiding and who told them they were naked. I was so into that part and it felt more real than being just a play. Xoliswa "Cayenne" Khayiyana (31), is a Swati, Mbabane born, Big Bend raised private chef. He is the Food Engineer and he has been making his mark on the Eswatini and South African food industry. He is taking it by storm! He grew up in a multi-cultural environment in Big Bend, and this came in handy for him later in his calling . He dropped out of university, when he was doing his final year at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in Human Resources to follow his calling in cooking. He has worked (cooked for) in events, including Farai Foundation events, for cooperates, including UNDP, and weddings. It is funny on how it all started though, he says "I was bored, broke and needed money, so I updated on my Facebook status that...anyone who is hungry, I will cook, and they will pay and some ladies replied, saying they have a hangover and they need some nice food. Muzi Ngwenya , commonly known as Mozaik, is a Swati producer and musician, born in Manzini, Nazarene, in a musical family. He went to St Williams Primary School then proceeded to Salesian High School. Mozaik is considered one of the fathers in the Eswatini music industry because he has been in the industry for over a decade now. He has won many prestigious awards in the kingdom including The Best Producer at the SWAMA Awards 2018.   I’ve got the opportunity to chat with this great musician about his music and his upcoming album, Nowhere. 🔥When did you start doing music I think I was in primary school when I realized that I loved music. In grade 7, I’d want to deejay in school parties. But it really hit me when I got to form 1, where I joined music classes.
